When we first built the whale prototype, the tail kept tilting slightly to the left no matter how carefully we stuffed it.

At first, we thought it was a tension issue. But even experienced testers ran into the same thing — whales just don’t behave like smaller animals when the body gets longer.

So we changed the way the tail connects to the body. Instead of attaching it as a separate flat piece, we built a softer transition zone that naturally guides the shape into alignment.

It doesn’t make the whale “perfectly symmetrical” every time. But it does stop that awkward sideways bend that made earlier versions look a bit like they were drifting.
